Moylos

As far as quirky décor goes, this one’s a pretty good one.

Dubai seems to be in burger overdrive mode. Everywhere you look, there’s new joints opening up. Growing up, I was loyal to Hardees (there was one right next to the university I went to) Then, when I had a bit of money, it was Johnny Rockets. Then came Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Burger Rebel, Elevation Burger… and the list goes on. You know how much I love homegrown brands though, so when I heard about Moylos (rather saw it on Instagram), I had a check it out.

It’s tiny. The decor’s pretty swell. Quirky signage on the walls, US number plates – mainly Cali-forn-I.A (that might have something to do with where the decor inspiration comes from). Crates for lampshades and exposed bulbs. Partly industrial. With Parisian-style padlocks below the counter which patrons can sign on. Oozes funky, cool and yet, it was so simple.

On to the food, the burgers were amazing! Moylos menu is short and to the point. Burgers five ways. Fries and onion rings. Boom. No complications. Oh wait. It’s parmesan truffle fries. Swoon! I was so thrilled, the fries went down pretty quickly!

I tried the Honey-Bee which came with cheese, bacon and honey-mustard barbecue sauce. The bun was soft and the patty was so tasty! I also tried Moylo’s burger which comes with a big fat onion ring and Moylo’s signature sauce. That sauce was something.

It’s also very reasonably priced at AED 34 – 48 for the burgers and AED18 for fries or onion rings.

If you’re craving a good burger, this place doesn’t disappoint!

  • This place is a real treasure… But you guys should also try their milkshakes. Was a bit surprised you dint mention them in your blog here. Especially the Caramel Milk Shake – its like heaven mixed in milk. Yumm

    • Hey Jo, you know what? We were so full that we dint have space for milkshake! Though I’ve heard since that its pretty amazing, esp the caramel. On the list, my friend 🙂
